Finally Settling Down

The image above is a look at Sunday’s high temperatures throughout the region. Mid 80s with low dewpoints is a nice treat during the middle of July. Enjoy the break!

Weather Summary

What an incredibly active pattern we’ve endured over the past couple of weeks. Intense heat, flash flooding, severe weather, etc. it just keeps coming one after the next. We’ll finally catch a bit of a break over the next couple of days. However, the good times won’t last long as yet another round of intense heat moves in by the middle of next week followed by more severe weather.

This is what tends to happen during El Nino summers. Especially strong El Nino’s like we’re seeing this year. Humidity creates instability and as long as the El Nino remains strong it will continue to flood the atmosphere with water vapor thus increasing the humidity. It’s a vicious cycle.
