Conditions Improve Sunday Afternoon

Leftover on and off rain, drizzle and areas of fog will continue Sunday morning down at the Jersey shore, but conditions will begin to improve after lunchtime. This includes the gusty, onshore wind. Winds that were gusting over 30 mph on Saturday will be reduced to 10-15 mph Sunday afternoon. The seas, however, will not have had enough time to settle down yet so it’s another no go for the boaters.

It looks like we’ll get some much-needed dry time in during the afternoon. It may still be a little damp out there, but you’ll get an opportunity to hit the boardwalks. There’s nothing like a slice of boardwalk pizza followed by the sounds of an arcade with the little ones! Ocean City and Wildwood are always fun the summer. But I’ve always enjoyed Sea Isle City as well.

With a warm front pushing through the region, temperatures will climb back up into the 60s. Still rather chilly for this time of year, but much better than the 57-degree high at the Atlantic City airport on Saturday. The Atlantic City boardwalk only managed a high of 54.
