It’s not a pretty day out there, but it’s not nearly as bad as it once looked either. This is all thanks to that same area of low pressure that aided in the development of all of that severe weather the other day. It is finally beginning to move farther out to sea. As it does so its pulling in a lot of dry air on the back side. So, we’ll see some showers around this morning (brief period of rain). But by afternoon its mainly just cloudy and cool. A spotty afternoon thunderstorm is also possible especially along the sea breeze front in south Jersey. But overall, this is a low chance.
A good forecast for today would be cloudy and cooler with morning showers (brief period of rain) followed by a pop-up, spotty afternoon thunderstorm. Highs in the upper 70s.
