Weather Summary
Another round of downpours and heavy thunderstorms are on the way Saturday afternoon. Once again, the main concern is strong wind gusts and flash flooding. Saturday is not a bad day though. A large part of the day will actually end up dry. But after 2pm we’ll begin to see the radar light up again in some areas.
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Level 1 ISOLATED RISK for severe weather. This means most storms will stay under severe criteria with just a handful becoming strong to severe.
Any storm that develops will have the ability to produce a lot of rain in a short period of time. Therefore, the WPC (Weather Prediction Center) has issued an elevated risk for flash flooding. Like the severe weather risk, the flood threat is Level 1 ISOLATED.
