Sweltering on the Beach Today

An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect through Independence Day.

Weather Summary

High temperatures today, even on the sand, will top out in the upper 80s to right around 90 degrees. Expect heat index numbers to climb up to 100 degrees. The sea breeze will not be as noticeable this afternoon like it was yesterday. Some locations will see a cooling sea breeze kick in, but several other shore communities will not. Otherwise, watch the sun. It won’t take long for someone with fair skin to burn. Maybe 15-20 minutes, tops. Stay hydrated!

High temperatures skyrocket on Friday and Saturday (4th of July)! Most shore communities will top out in the upper 90s with heat index numbers nearing 105 degrees!
