Rip Currents. Rough Seas Thursday

The water is going to be pretty rough over the next couple of days. A HIGH RISK of rip currents has been issued by the National Weather Service along with a SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY. Gusty southerly winds will develop during the day that will stir up the seas. Expect a lot of white caps out there with waves of 5 to 7 feet.

Life threatening rip currents are likely. The surf zone will be dangerous for all levels of swimmers. It’s best to stay out of the water altogether. Remember to head the advice of the local beach patrol and flag warning systems.

Partly sunny skies, warm and breezy with an afternoon shower or thunderstorm (30%).
