The winds are going to pick up during the second half of the weekend ahead of an approaching cold front. As a result, the seas will become choppy and rough at times with white caps. So, if you’re looking to take the boat out this weekend, Saturday looks to be the smoother ride. A Small Craft Advisory will likely be issued at some point for Sunday afternoon along the ocean front.
The beach forecast looks pretty good. Although the rip current risk will be elevated on Sunday because of the increased wave heights. Please make sure you’re swimming where lifeguards are on duty. Otherwise, the only issue out of the water will be the wind blowing the sand around Sunday afternoon. It should be pretty enjoyable out there. The UV Index will be very high on both days.
