It’s been an incredible run for early June! High temperatures have stayed well below seasonal averages, and the mornings have been crisp and cool. Cool enough to allow steam to come off the pool water before the sun comes up. We have a couple more comfortable days coming up, but temperatures will climb quickly as we head into this upcoming weekend.
Thankfully, this is not an extended stretch of heat, nor will there be a lot of humidity. Although by technical terms the airport may end up seeing a heat wave if we can squeak out a 90-degree high on Thursday. Heat wave = three straight days of 90 degrees or higher.
Below is a look at the NBM (National Blend of Models)
Thursday = 88, Friday 92, Saturday = 94

Honestly, I’m a little more concerned about what the modeling is beginning to show by the end of next week. The image below is the ECMWF meteogram. It’s an ugly look. Hopefully its overdone, otherwise, get ready for some blazing heat by mid month.
