There’s not a lot of big heat type days in the foreseeable future. At least not for the City of Brotherly Love and the surrounding suburbs. We have a couple of days that are going to be hot and a touch on the muggy side. But overall, as we get closer and closer to the official start of the summer season, you really couldn’t ask for anything better. As I type this, temperatures are in the low to mid 50s this morning!
A pretty large trough has developed in the east. This almost always prevents a massive amount of heat buildup. You don’t see a lot of these troughs during the summer because the average position of the seasonal jet is all the way up into southern Canada now. But we’ll take it!
Thursday is going to be a hot and somewhat humid day. Outside of that, the 6 to 10 day and 8 to 14 day outlooks call for most days to be slightly below average.

Below is a look at the two-week meteogram for Philadelphia. The accuracy drops off after the first week. But you can clearly see the trend. If you like the cooler, comfortable weather this will be a nice two week stretch for you. Thursday could be an interesting day in the form of severe weather which I’ll discuss in future posts. As for the temperatures though, it looks really nice!
