It looks like another fantastic day on the beach with some clouds around early, but a lot of sunshine during the afternoon. A nice sea breeze will keep temperatures down into the mid to upper 70s throughout the day. Watch the sun though. The burn index once again is very high! Make sure you’re applying sunscreen.
Good boating conditions today with seas of 2 to 3 feet. Perhaps a little choppy at times, but not too bad. Speaking of chop. The seas will get very choppy tomorrow. Actually, they become downright rough with the strengthening southerly wind. Wind gusts between 25-35 mph. A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY has been issued for the oceanfront for the Jersey shore and the Delaware beaches. Seas 4 to 7 feet. Friday appears to be quite bumpy too!
WATCH THE RIP CURRENTS
With the rough seas comes an increased danger of life-threatening rip currents. A MODERATE RISK was issued today. A HIGH RISK was issued for Thursday. That means the surf zone is dangerous for all levels of swimmers. Stay out of the water and head the advice of the local beach patrol and flag warning systems.
